Here at University Dining, we take our environment seriously! In the case of to-go containers, we try to do our part by bringing in containers that are biodegradable and good for the earth. This is also why we limit guests to one apiece in the Marketplace…less containers, less waste!
In order to accomplish this goal, we have tried many methods of managing the container system. At the end of the day, we have decided that the best fit for this campus is to ask guests for their student IDs when they choose to take their order to go. This way we can manage the dispersal of containers to make sure that each tray we hand out is accounted for properly. Simply leave your ID with the cashier, receive your to-go container, and proceed to fill it with your meal. When you have finished, see the cashier who will return your ID!
We understand that is can be an inconvenience, and have put in place methods to make the system run as smoothly and expediently as possible for our operations sake, and more importantly, the ease of our guests.
