Coming soon to WoW…California Harvest Salad!

October is right around the corner, and with it will come the new limited time offer at WoW, the California Harvest Salad!

Meet our Re-Charge & NrGize winners…plus a new raffle!

First a Rice Krispie’s treat, now a five pound Hershey’s bar AND free NrGize smoothie! Our second raffle of the semester was a rousing success, with many names in the box ready for their chance at being selected!

NrGize raffled off a free smoothie, won by Michael, while Re-Charge Convenience Market had a five pound Hershey’s bar up for grabs, and our lucky winner is Edriana!

Now, our friends at Rockstar Energy have given us some items that we can raffle off next! It will work the same way as the previous two…every purchase at Re-Charge gets you one entry into a drawing that will have TWO winners this time! One will receive a Rockstar t-shirt, and the other will get a Rockstar hat.

Join us tomorrow for a Farmer’s Market!

The weather still might not feel like it, but fall is approaching…and what says “fall” like a local, fresh, produce?!

From 11:00 am – 1:30 pm on Thursday, September 20, join us in the Student Dining Room of the Marketplace for our Farmer’s Market! There will be fresh and local produce, apples, and apple cider for sale (cash only).

Also, our Chef Adam Lewis will be holding a live demonstration with seasonal Connecticut apples!

Get to know the all new Marketplace dish drop!

Our new Marketplace dish drop is up and operational! Not only does it look different, there are a few changes to how it works!

THE SAME:

Recycling: Here is where you drop off any plastics or other recyclables.

Utensils: All your silverware goes here!

CHANGES:

Before, you could dump your full plate in the garbage and put the empty dish on the conveyer. Now, the food stays on the plate! Use the trash receptacles for napkins, paper plates/silverware, and other garbage. No food!

The Marketplace dish drop is getting a face lift!

                                      

Say good bye to the old way of disposing garbage…the dish drop is getting a face lift! There is some construction going on this morning in the Marketplace as our garbage drops are getting turned into garbage chutes!

The new and improved station will be open later today, so we apologize for any inconvenience for the time being!

MAKE IT MINDFUL: Try these two delicious Mindful specials today at the Marketplace!

 

Today at the Marketplace we have two Mindful dishes for you to fill up on! Mindful is a Sodexo program that focuses on healthy indulgence, full plates, and satisfying flavors. Each entrée contains less than 600 calories due to the use of more vegetables, fruits, whole grains and less fat, and each dessert has less than 200 calories and at least 1g of fiber due to the use of less refined sugar and more fresh fruits!

Today in the Marketplace, we have an entrée and a dessert to satisfy your hunger!

At the Deli station, we have the Southwestern Grilled Turkey Cutlet Sandwich. Containing succulent marinated turkey cutlet, honey barbecue sauce and melted Monterey Jack & crispy bacon, this dish is sure to make your taste buds sing!

And on the dessert side, we have the Cranberry Chocolate Oat Square. Filled with such ingredients as red rice, quinoa, honey, and chocolate chips, this bar will leave you feeling full and happy!
