Dining Hours for Spring Carnival & Menu

Tomorrow is the day! Spring Carnival kicks off on North Campus, and the fun begins. University Dining will have it’s dining tent open from 4 pm – 6 pm, serving up some delicious food.

From 10 am – 4 pm, students can get their wristbands in the Faculty Dining Room in the Marketplace, which gets you into the dining tent. If you can’t make that time, no fear! You can get a wristband from 4 pm – 6 pm in the Charger Gymnasium at North Campus.

iCommit: Join our sustainability challenge tomorrow in the Marketplace!

iCommit, Sodexo’s sustainability program, is in full force this week. With Earth Day coming on Sunday, we at University Dining want to hear how students can contribute to helping the planet! Show us what you’ve got tomorrow, April 20, in the Marketplace for lunch.

We will be set up with chalkboards, where you will come up with a way you can help contribute to saving the planet! It doesn’t have to be rocket science…it’s as simple as “recycling”, “turning the water off when you brush your teeth”, or “turning lights off when you leave the room”. Every little bit helps!

So come on down to the Marketplace tomorrow, and let’s commit together to helping the planet!

YOU ASKED, WE LISTENED: Two new vegan/vegetarian items at FöD

A popular piece of feedback we’ve received is to have more vegan & vegetarian options at Food on Demand. Well, we heard you! Starting tonight (and for lunch & dinner going forward), FöD is bringing two new options! Both will be featured on the regular menu as well, with options for a meat protein.

Broccoli Balsamic Salad: Peppers, onions, and broccoli served with a light balsamic dressing. Comes with grilled tofu. Regular menu has the option of grilled tofu or salmon.

Fajita Bowl: Peppers & onions sauteed with Cajun spiced rice. Comes with grilled tofu. Regular menu has the option of grilled tofu, chicken, or shrimp.

It’s iCommit week! Keep an eye out for events during this week

iCommit is Sodexo’s program promoting sustainability initiatives. Each year, we do events that promote good sustainable habits that benefit the earth. Well, we’re back! We will have two different chances to help us out. Tuesday, 4/17 and Friday, 4/20 we will be in Marketplace and FöD (locations and times TBD, we’ll announce here!). Come out and show your support by telling us what sustainable habits you can do in your daily lives! From “turning the water off while brushing teeth”, to “turning lights off in rooms when you leave them”, no idea is too simple or too small. They all benefit our world!

National Grilled Cheese Day is finally here!

It’s National Grilled Cheese Day, everyone’s favorite food holiday! What’s better than delicious cheese grilled to perfection between two pieces of toast? Well, I’ll tell you what’s better…

FöD: We have “Kevin’s Grilled Cheese Special”
Served on Texas toast with mac & cheese, sun-dried tomato, bacon and Pepper Jack cheese.


Marketplace: At Beach Grill, we will have two options:
Bacon/tomato/american cheese on white bread – OR – BBQ pulled chicken with peaches and cheddar on Texas toast.

Our dietetic technician Courtney is back with another Nutrition Nook, here to help you “taste the rainbow”…but not in the way you’re thinking!

From now until 1:30 in the Marketplace, discover the health benefits of eating green fruits and vegetables. We have green peppers, green beans, kale, and green pears, try them all and learn all about the wonders of green foods!

The menu is in for FöD‘s latest Elite Event, Fresh Guacamole! This taste of the South West is sure to delight! Join us on Wednesday, April 25th, for a fantastic dinner.
